Gypsum boards should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated environment, with relative humidity ideally below 60%. Avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature heat sources. The storage surface should be flat; if necessary, use wooden blocks to elevate the boards by at least 10 cm to prevent moisture absorption. Gypsum boards should be stacked horizontally, with a single stack height generally not exceeding 1.5 meters. Each stack should ideally contain no more than 40 to 50 boards. Place wooden blocks between every 5 to 10 boards to facilitate ventilation and prevent moisture.
Gypsum boards should be transported using flatbed trucks or box trucks, ensuring the boards are placed horizontally and securely to prevent slippage. It is recommended that two people work together during handling, holding the long edges of the boards with both hands to avoid lifting from a single point. For short distances, a handcart can be used. Handle with care during unloading, checking each board for damage.
Outdoor storage should be avoided. If unavoidable, cover with a waterproof tarpaulin. Avoid severe jolting and sudden braking during transportation. Proper storage and transportation methods can effectively extend the service life of gypsum boards and improve construction quality.
